A surprising finding I read about the US Education System was that in 1874 the Michigan State Supreme Court allowed Kalamazoo to start taxing to support public schools. This helped other states to start doing the same thing. I found this cool because I am from Michigan and it is always fascinating to learn that Michigan, my home state started a trend. I know how important it is to get money from the taxes to support the schools. If schools did not get the money from the taxes, they would really struggle fitting the students needs.
